Keep you PoE Wi-Fi access point online during load shedding.
Backup Power for more than 19.5 hours
Device List:
| Function | Device | Model | Volt | Rating | Wh |
| Wi-Fi Access Point | Ubiquiti | UAP-LR | 24V | 0.5A | 12 |
Total Wh = 12
- Ubiquity Unifi UAP-LR Wi-Fi Access Point connected on passive 24V PoE port
- LAN Port connected back to network.
Theoretical backup time for Power-Buddie DC UPS 75Wh = 375 Minutes
This is calculated (UPS Wh (75) \ Total device Wh (12) * 60 minutes)
For the above mentioned scenario, the Power Buddie DC UPS 75Wh (24000 mAh) provided backup power for 1190 minutes.
Why does it appear that the UPSes are performing far better than what they are rated for? Most devices, although not always the case, use substantially less Watts than their maximum rating. Hence why it seems that the UPSes are performing better than expected. The theoretical maximum of 12W were never observed, the UPS reached a maximum of 3W and averaged on between 2W.
